Here
is another close look at a typical lunch layout on the ROW Missouri
Breaks adventure. Each person made what he or she wanted of it. The
smoked salmon was delicious. The Corps tired of salmon for every meal
for, days on end, while traveling down the Columbia River. They had
no trouble finding game for their table in this part of the Missouri
Breaks. Corps member Patrick Gass wrote: "... these landscapes...
enlivened with the buffaloe, elk, deer, and other animals which feed
upon the plains...are the
prominent objects, which compose the...[view]." |
