part of a park system starting in Long Beach WA and ending at Cannon

| This
impressive sculpture is the centerpiece of the Fort Clatsop Visitor
Center. The Visitor Center covers the entire Corps of Discovery journey.
As with other centers, it emphasizes local events. The starry flounder
in the sculpture was discovered by Captain Clark at the Mckenzie Head
Camp on his trek north from Station Camp. Neither Lewis, Seaman, nor
the Clatsop Indian was there that evening. |
