When
I left Chinook Landing, I continued west on NE Marine Drive along
the Columbia River. At I-5 it becomes N Marina Drive and continues
west to Kelly Point Park. You can access N Marine Drive west at exit
307 on I-5 and continue west to the park. An interpretive sign explains
Lewis & Clark's interest in this river. While Captain Lewis remained
at the Steamboat Landing area camp (see previous pages) Captain Clark,
Cruzatte, Howard, Potts, Thompson, Whitehouse, Weiser, and York paddled
10 miles up the "Multnomah River" on April 2-3, 1806. |
