Pasco Washington
From Hood ParkI turned north on US HWY 12, toward Pasco. I crossed the HWY 12 bridge, seen here behind the railroad bridge and on the previous page. The Sacajawea State Park Road is the first left. The park sits on the point where the Corps descended the Snake River into the Columbia River. The Corps set up camp here on the 16th of October, and stayed through the 17th, accompanied by about 200 local natives "Singing and beeting on their drums Stick and keeping time to the musik..."
