The
back of the Lewis & Clark Discovery Center, top left, faces the
Snake River. The two acres of exhibits are spread along the high east
bank of the river. A refreshing, man made, creek flows through the
area. More of sculptor Rip Caswell's talents appear at, and in, the
creek; a cougar, left; a salmon, above. The mother osprey and her
two chicks are not sculptures. They inhabit a nest on the south side
of the center. I apologize for the poor quality of the image. I didn't
have a long lens with me at the time. It seemed such a nice touch
to see wild creatures that the Corps members also observed. |
