| Top right, Middle Fork Clearwater River. The Selway and Lochsa Rivers join at Lowell, east of here, to form the Middle Fork Clearwater. Clear Creek, above, near where Looking Glass's camp was attacked. . Idaho HWY 13 leads south through the town of Stites to the Looking Glass camp and battle site. It's on private property now. Corps members Ordway, Frazer, and Weiser passed through here, in June 1806 returning from the Salmon River after buying salmon. |
