Lewis & Clark Trail
	At White Sands Campground, a trail cuts above and along the Lochsa River west to Powell Ranger Station. This segment is a couple miles long. It continues 4 mi. miles to Wendover Campground. The US Forest Service trail approximates the course the Corps took until they realized it was necessary to angle northwest into the mountains. Maps are available at the ranger station. Sections of the trail are also accessible from Whitehouse CG.
