		You can continue following the L&C Trail by driving south on US HWY 287 from Townsend to Toston. Clark's map, right, is oriented with north at the bottom and south at the top. The Corps's movements should be read from 8 to 1 - the reverse of the list, left, center. The camps listed (3 & 8 ) are Lewis's party. Above, one of Yorks Islands, from the fishing access.
